Cathay welcomes union's suspension of industrial action over Lunar New Year

Cathay Pacific "welcomed" moves by the Flight Attendants Union (FAU) to call off a planned labour slowdown over the Lunar New Year holiday period (The Standard/South China Morning Post, 24-Jan-2011). The union has, however, not ruled out taking future action if a new pay agreement is not reached, stressing that it is "not backing down". The union added: "It is only a responsible decision that we are not taking any industrial action during the holiday. Postponing the action does not mean we are giving up."
