CAAC reports first cargo traffic decline in 20 months in Feb-2011

CAAC reported China's aviation industry reported CNY1740 million (USD263.6 million) in profit in Feb-2011 (CAAC-News, 14-Mar-2011). According to CAAC, cargo traffic fell in Feb-2011, after 20 consecutive monthly increases. The civil aviation authority also reported the following financial/traffic highlights in Feb-2011:

  • Profit: CNY1740 million (USD263.6 million);
  • Passenger numbers: 21.6 million, +6.8% year-on-year;
  • Cargo volume: 300,700 tonnes, -11.8%.
