Brazil to grant Rio de Janeiro GIG and Belo Horizonte Airport concessions in 2H2013

Brazil's Government announced (20-Dec-2012) concessions to operate Rio de Janeiro Galeão International Airport and Belo Horizonte Tancredo Neves International Airport will be granted in 2H2013, to improve infrastructure and service quality. State-owned operator Infraero will retain a 49% stake in the airports. Bidding on the concessions will be restricted to operators with experience managing airports that handle "over" 35 million passengers p/a and who hold "at least" a 25% stake in any consortium arrangements. The plans are part of the Government's 'Investment Program in Logisitics: Airports' scheme. [more - original PR - ANAC - Portuguese] [more - original PR - Infraero - Porutguese]
