Boeing emerging from recession in good health

Boeing CEO, Jim McNerney, stated the manufacturer has emerged from a "difficult economic phase" of its financial health and a large order backlog (Reuters, 17-Jul-2010). Mr McNerney stated the economic recovery has been mixed across the globe. The majority of Boeing's orders in 2010 are expected to come from Asian and Middle Eastern carriers, although US airlines are also recovering with more orders.
