BAA will not compensate airlines for snow closures

BAA reportedly won't pay compensation to airlines for the closure of London Heathrow airport during heavy snowfall in Dec-2010 (Bloomberg, 22-Jan-2011). Airline losses have been estimated at GBP150 million, with Virgin Atlantic and bmi among the airlines demanding compensation.
