Australia's Tourism Forecasting Committee forecasts 5.3% rise in 2010 int'l visitor arrivals

Australia's Tourism Forecasting Committee (TFC) released (15-Nov-2010) its new tourism forecast to 2020. TFC forecasts international visitor arrivals to Australia to rise 5.3% year-on-year in 2010. Strong growth in arrivals for 2010 is expected from China, South Korea, Malaysia and Japan. Details include:

  • 2011: 6.2 million, +5.6%;
  • 2012: 6.5 million, +4.5%;
  • 2013: 6.7 million. +4%;
  • 2014: 7.0 million, +3.7%;
  • 2015: 7.2 million, +3.5%;
  • 2016: 7.5 million, +3.4%;
  • 2017: 7.7 million, +3.2%;
  • 2018: 8.0 million, +3.2%;
  • 2019: 8.2 million, +3.1%;
