AMR Corp views keeping American Eagle as viable option
AMR Corp, parent of American Airlines, views keeping its American Eagle regional carrier is a viable option as rising oil prices slow a decision on whether to divest the commuter carrier (Bloomberg, 27-May-2011). A separated American Eagle means it would be free to bid on flying for other major carriers, opening the possibility of adding larger aircraft and new markets.
