AirTran's credit ratings raised by Moody's, outlook "positive"

Moody's Investors Service raised its credit rating on AirTran Holdings to 'Caa1' and changed the outlook to 'positive', reflecting the airline's ability to remain profitable in 2009 (Dow Jones, 22-Dec-2009). Moody's stated the ratings could be raised further if AirTran increases its liquidity, but could be cut if operating results trail expectations and unrestricted cash falls below certain levels.
