Airports' upgrade in Nepal to increase safety, boost tourism

Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Board of Directors approved (24-Nov-2009) a total of USD80 million - including a grant of USD10 million and a loan of USD70 million equivalent - to finance the Nepal Air Transport Capacity Enhancement Project. The project will improve safety and capacity at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport in and three domestic airports. [more]
