Airbus to maintain focus on evolving aircraft families

Airbus president and CEO Fabrice Brégier said (13-Jul-2012) under his new leadership, Airbus will "maintain the focus on evolving the company's aircraft family while ensuring its responsiveness to customers". The manufacturer announced 115 new sales and commitments at last week's Farnborough International Airshow. Airbus also announced an increased maximum take-off weight for its A330 widebody. Mr Brégier said the decision, combined "with our commitment to ramp up the production rate, should maintain the A330's success during this decade…and probably beyond 2020". [more - original PR]
