Airbus not looking at further output reductions

Airbus stated it has no current plans for any more cuts to commercial aircraft output, but still has time to adjust production rates for 2H2010, if the situation with customers warrants it. Airbus is scheduled to reduce A320 production from 36 to 34 per month from Oct-2009.

Airbus: "There is no reason to think there will be a new reduction in output," he said, "but we must be vigilant. We have to consider the situation of companies that are causing us concern for the second half of 2010. We have to work with them to find solutions. There is still time to adjust production," Fabrice Bregier, Chief Operating Officer. Source: AFP, 24-Sep-2009.
