Air Seychelles revenue and traffic increased in 1H2014, on track for full-year profitability
Air Seychelles stated (25-Sep-2014) its 1H2014 financial performance reflected the continued success of its business strategy and its partnership with Etihad Airways. Revenues increased 19% year-on-year to USD50 million, passenger traffic increased 25.2% to 184,101 and cargo traffic increased 35.1% to 3520 tonnes. ASKs increased 46.4% to 727.4 million and average load factor increased 8.5ppt to nearly 60%. Praslin-Mahé remained the carrier's busiest route with 71,961 passengers and Abu Dhabi traffic increased 90% to 49,934 passengers. Hong Kong traffic increased 73% to 24,142, Johannesburg increased 29% to 22,218 and Mauritius increased 14.4% to 15,846.
