Air New Zealand passenger numbers up 5.2% – traffic highlights for Mar-2013:

  • Passenger numbers: 1.4 million, +5.2% year-on-year;
    • Short-haul: 1.2 million, +6.3%;
    • Domestic: 918,000, +6.1%;
    • Tasman/Pacific: 301,000, +6.8%;
    • Long-haul: 143,000, -3.0%;
    • Asia/Japan/UK: 57,000, -12.2%;
    • North America/UK: 86,000, +4.2%;
  • Passenger load factor: 85.8%, +3.4 ppts;
    • Short-haul: 84.6%, +1.4 ppts;
    • Domestic: 85.2%, +1.2 ppts;
    • Tasman/Pacific: 84.3%, +1.6 ppts;
    • Long-haul: 86.8%, +5.1 ppts;
    • Asia/Japan/UK: 82.1%, +4.0 ppts;
