Air New Zealand passenger numbers stable in Mar-2010

Air New Zealand passenger numbers stable - traffic highlights in Mar-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 1.2 million, stable year-on-year;
    • Short-haul: 1.1 million, +0.5%;
      • Domestic: 828,000, +1.1%;
      • Tasman/Pacific: 251,000, -1.6%;
    • Long-haul: 163,000, -3.6%;
  • Passenger load factor: 82.7%, +5.0 ppts;
    • Short-haul: 81.1%, +4.4 ppts;
      • Domestic: 81.8%, +3.5 ppts;
      • Tasman/Pacific: 80.7%, +4.9 ppts;
    • Long-haul: 83.8%, +5.4 ppts;

Air New Zealand: "Group-wide yields for the financial year to date were down 8.9% on the same period last year. Year to date Short Haul yields were down 7.0% and the respective Long Haul yields were down by 13.0%.
