Air Lease Corp: No B737 decision expected until late this year

Air Lease Corp Chairman and CEO Steven Udvar-Hazy stated he does not expect a decision from Boeing on the future of its narrowbody programme until "the B787 revenue stream is established" (MarketWatch, 12-May-2011). Boeing is due to deliver its first B787 to All Nippon Airways in Sep-2011. Mr Udvar-Hazy expects Boeing will skip the chance to offer new engines on the B737NG, opting instead to develop an all-new aircraft.
