Air France-KLM operating profit up 28%, maintains 2H2012 operating profit target

Air France-KLM revenue up 6% - financial highlights for three months ended 30-Sep-2012:

  • Revenue: EUR7184 million, +5.8% year-on-year;
    • Passenger: EUR5694 million, +7.9%;
    • Cargo: EUR758 million, -1.9%;
    • Transavia total passenger revenue: EUR368 million, +11.5%;
  • Operating costs: EUR6680 million, +4.5%;
    • Fuel: EUR1970 million, +14.8%;
    • Labour: EUR1880 million, +1.2%;
  • Operating profit: EUR506 million, +27.5%;
    • Transavia: EUR69 million, +15.0%;
  • Adjusted operating profit*: EUR592 million, +26.5%;
  • Net profit: EUR306 million, compared to a net profit of EUR14 million in p-c-p;
  • Passenger traffic (RPKs): +0.9%;
  • Passenger load factor: 86.0%, -0.1 ppt;
  • Passenger yield: EUR 8.77 cents, +6.4%;
  • Passenger revenue per ASK: EUR 7.54 cents, +6.3%;
  • Passenger cost per ASK: EUR 6.91 cents, +4.7%;
  • Cargo traffic (FRTKs): -6.5%;
  • Cargo load factor: 61.7%, -2.0 ppts;
  • Cargo yield: EUR 27.01 cents, +3.8%;
  • Cargo revenue per ATK: EUR 16.69 cents, +0.7%;
  • Cargo cost per ATK: 18.27 cents, +5.0%;
