Air France-KLM issues winter 2014/2015 capacity guidance
Air France-KLM issued (08-Oct-2014) capacity guidance for the winter 2014/2015 season, with Air France, KLM and HOP! capacity to increase 0.1% and Transavia capacity to increase 13.3%. Overall Air France-KLM capacity will increase 0.7%, with Transavia's growth to be concentrated in France, where capacity will increase 56%. The company's capacity guidance includes the following highlights:
- Long-haul capacity will be stable (+0.3%) with the maintenance of the Paris-Brasilia service launched in summer 2014 within the framework of the partnership with GOL, additional Amsterdam-Atlanta flights, deployment of A380 equipment on the Abidjan service, and ongoing development of Tokyo Haneda;
- Short and medium-haul capacity from the Paris CDG and Amsterdam hubs will be slightly increased (+3.1%), driven by growth in the network at Amsterdam. Main developments include the maintenance over winter of services launched during summer 2014 from Amsterdam to Turin, Bilbao and Zagreb and from Paris to Stavanger, as well as additional frequencies on Amsterdam-Bergen, Billund, Moscow and Bordeaux;
- Short and medium-haul point-to-point capacity continues to be adjusted lower (-11.3%) with a further adaptation of the schedule in the provincial bases, and some frequency reductions on Orly-Bordeaux and Orly-Toulouse. [more - original PR] [more - original PR - II - English/French]
