Air France inaugurates services to Wuhan

Air France confirmed (12-Apr-2012) the launch of services to Wuhan on 11-Apr-2012, marking the carrier's fifth route into China. Air France is the first airline to link Europe with Wuhan, operating three times weekly from Paris CDG with Boeing 777-200ER equipment configured with 309 seats: 35 business, 24 premium economy and 250 economy seats. Air France noted it was the first European carrier to start services between Europe and China when it inaugurated Paris-Shanghai service in 1966. The Air France-KLM Group, together with its SkyTeam alliance partners, China Southern and China Eastern, now offer 135 weekly services to nine destinations in Greater China (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Wuhan and Taipei), with Air France and KLM operating 92 of these weekly services.
