Air China to take delivery of more than ten long-haul aircraft in 2011

Air China plans to take delivery of more than ten long-haul aircraft (including A330/B787s), increase frequency on selected international routes and launch new international destinations in 2011, as global air travel market continues its gradual recovery (CAAC-News, 13-Jun-2010). The carrier is scheduled to take delivery of its first B787 in May-2011 at the earliest. Meanwhile, Air China stated load factor on its recently launched Shanghai-Bangalore via Chengdu service is averaging 75%, while load factor on its three times weekly Beijing-Manila service is averaging 80%.
