Aeroflot Group pax up 12% in 1Q2016; Aeroflot pax up 16%

Aeroflot reported (29-Apr-2016) the following traffic highlights in Mar-2016:

  • Passenger numbers: 2.2 million, +15.5% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 1.1, +25.5%;
    • International: 1.1 million, 7.2%;
  • Revenue passenger kilometres: 6422.7 million, +14.2%;
    • Domestic: 2210.9 million, 21.9%;
    • International: 4211.8 million, +10.5%;
  • Passenger load factor: 79.0%, +2.6 ppts;
    • Domestic: 83.6%, +6.2 ppts;
    • International: 76.9%, -1.0 ppt;
  • Cargo and mail volume: 13,202.8 tons, +16.8%;
    • Domestic: 6404.7 tons, +36.8%;
    • International: 6697.1 tons, +2.5%.

Aeroflot Group traffic highlights in Mar-2016:

  • Passenger numbers: 3.2 million, +12.4% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: 1.9 million, +17.2%;
    • International: 1.3 million, +6.2%;
  • Revenue passenger kilometres: 8122.5 million, +13.5%;
    • Domestic: 3376.5 million, +14.9%;
    • International: 4746.0 million, +12.6%;
  • Passenger load factor: 78.9%, +4.1 ppts;
    • Domestic: 82.1%, +7.4 ppts;
    • International: 76.8%, 2.0 ppts;
  • Cargo and mail volume: 14,949.7 tons, +15.2%;
    • Domestic: 7999.0 tons, +28.5%;
    • International: 6950.7 tons, +3.0%.

In 1Q2016, Aeroflot Group added three Boeing 737-800s, one 747, one 777-300ER, two Sukhoi SSJ100s, A319, two A320s and two DHC 8-Q400s. Two A319s, one A320 and one 767 were phased out of the fleet. Aeroflot added three 737-800s, one 777-300ER, two SSJ100s and two A320s during the three month period. Two A319s and one A320 were phased out, resulting in a net Company fleet increase of five aircraft and bringing the fleet size to 172 aircraft as of 31-Mar-2016.
