Third Dreamliner to join LOT’s fleet

17-May-2013 The third Dreamliner of LOT Polish Airlines with the registration number SP-LRC landed today at 16:22 at Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport.

The aircraft flew directly from Paine Field Airport near Seattle next to Everett factory in which the Being 787 Dreamliners are manufactured. The airplane was piloted by LOT captain Jerzy Makula, who brought the first Dreamliner to Poland, captain Andrzej Szymański and captain Krzysztof Turkiewicz.

"Very soon, as the only airline in Europe, we will offer our Passengers again a unique standard of travel" - says Tomasz Balcerzak, Member of the Board for Technical and Operational Issues in LOT Polish Airlines. "From June 5, when we are planning to bring the Boeings 787 back to regular service, our Passengers will discover all the treats we have prepared for them. Three classes - Elite Club, Premium Club and the economy class, friendly and more spacious interior is what makes the travelling more comfortable than ever before. In addition to that, the specially trained cabin crew of Elite Fleet remaining at our Passengers' disposal and the new menu will make each trip even more enjoyable - Mr Balcerzak adds.

Boeing 787 with the registration number SP-LRC is a long-haul aircraft (12,000 km) with maximum cruising speed 875 km/h, length of 57.72 m and wingspan 60.13 m. The interior seats 252 passengers.

The aircrafts purchased by LOT come in a three-class setup: Elite Club, Premium Club and economy class. By August, LOT is planning to receive 5 aircrafts of this type.
