Vueling up as Aegean and SkyEurope lead the falls in quiet day on European exchanges

Analysis

In a day where the majors were quiet, Vueling (+3.3%) shares rose, as part owner Iberia sought corporate regulator's approval for it to avoid having to bid for full ownership, normally required on the basis of its 48.5% holding in the merged LCC.

On the downside, Aegean (-5.2%) lost some of its recent gains and the fluctuating fortunes of SkyEurope (-4.4%) saw its shares down again. Air France-KLM (-2.2%) also lost ground.

British Airways may feature on today's trading as stakeholders comment on management's proposal for staff to forego a month's pay in order to help the carrier through troubled times.
