Premium Analysis

Asia Pacific passenger traffic is expected to rise by 5-6% this year, according to Abacus International. President & CEO, Don Birch, stated, "people around the world still have money and seem set on traveling in the coming year, despite the belt-tightening that will be going on globally". According to the GDS, the region's travel market has also been bolstered by aggressive expansion plans of full-service and budget airlines, with China and India the key growth drivers of demand.
