The airport and ANSP environment challenge

Premium Analysis

IATA Director General and CEO, Giovanni Bisignani, has once

again called on Air Navigation Services Providers (ANSPs) to continue to work

closely with airlines to improve cost efficiency and cut CO2 emissions.

He stated that the main challenge for governments and ANSPs is to eliminate

the 12% inefficiency in air traffic management and cut this in half by 2012

to save 35 million tonnes of CO2 annually.
