Spring Airlines' profitability continues for third consecutive year in 2008

China's first LCC, Spring Airlines, reported its third consecutive year of net profitability in 2008, with a 32% year-on-year increase in revenues to USD237 million. The carrier, one of a handful of private carriers in the Mainland, reported a net profit of 3.1 million, which it attributed to the reimbursement of USD3.0 million in civil aviation infrastructure payments.
