Second 747-400 Boeing Converted Freighter Redelivered to JAL

Seattle (BOEING) - Boeing [NYSE: BA] and JAL International celebrated completion and

certification of the second 747-400 Boeing Converted Freighter at a

redelivery ceremony held in Xiamen, People's Republic of China, May 21.

JAL International has orders for eight of the passenger to freighter

conversions and four options. The first 747-400 Boeing Converted

Freighter was redelivered to Cathay Pacific in December 2005.

"We are proud that JAL International -- the world's largest 747 operator -- chose the 747-400 Boeing Converted Freighter to upgrade its cargo fleet," said Bruce Dennis, vice president of Boeing Customer Support, Asia-Pacific, at the redelivery ceremony.
