Qantas to order up to 100 aircraft

Analysis

SYDNEY (Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation) - The Qantas Board will this week finalise a fleet order for up to 100 aircraft, including A350s, B787s and/or B777s, for delivery from 2010. The order, valued up to AUD20 billion, will also include aircraft for Jetstar International.

"We haven't spoken to the board about this, but the tenders we have got are the best we've seen for a rollover case for aircraft in the history of Qantas," Geoff Dixon, CEO.
