Qantas flying into private hands
Airline Partners Australia’s (APA) bid has cleared the
key government hurdle and is now in the home straight. Shareholder approval
is likely by early Apr-07 (with some brinkmanship by a couple of institutions
along the way), meaning Qantas will revert to private control by the end of
next month.
