MAHB reports strong results, but debts keep growing

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB), reported a strong 12.3%

year-on-year rise in revenue for the six months ended 30-Jun-07. The result

was driven by a 10.4% increase in airport services revenue, which represented

70% of the total. As a result, EBITDA rose 34%, while net profit increased 37.6%.

Passenger traffic at MAHB airports rose 2.6% in the period, due to an 8.6% rise

in international traffic, which compensated for a 1.8% fall in domestic traffic.
