Japan's ANA to issue 250 mln new shares to raise more than 100 bln yen

TOKYO (XFNews) - All Nippon Airways Co Ltd (ANA) said it has decided to issue around 250 mln new shares, with the aim of raising more than 100 bln yen for investment in aircraft.

ANA, Japan's second-largest carrier, said the offering price will be set between March 1 and March 3 following a book building exercise.

Under its plan, the firm will issue 230.5 mln new shares, of which 130.5 mln will be offered to Japanese investors and 100 mln new to overseas investors

ANA has also set aside 19.5 mln shares for possible over-allotment.
If fully subscribed, including the over-allotment, the firm's outstanding issued share capital base will expand by some 15 pct.

An underwriting syndicate, led by Nomura Securities, Deutsche Securities, Nikko Citigroup, Daiwa Securities SMBC, will manage the domestic launch, while a group, including Nomura International and Deutsche Bank will handle the overseas issue.

ANA said it will use the proceeds to buy new airplanes, but the company declined to say how many planes it plans to purchase.
