Investor Alert! Privatisation of Saudi airports moves forward

The Saudi Government confirmed in mid-Jul-08 that it is considering opening its airport sector to international investors, and plans to carry out a gradual privatisation of the sector. The statement is just one of a number of recent liberalisation moves in the Saudi aviation market. Last month, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) awarded Fraport two contracts to manage, develop and operate Riyadh and Jeddah international airports.
