The President and CEO of Halifax International Airport Authority,
Eleanor Humphries, advised the Board of Directors that she will be leaving the
Authority in mid-August.
“I am very grateful for everything that we’ve accomplished as a team, here at the airport over the past two years,” said Ms Humphries. “As to the immediate future, I intend to take some time to spend with my family, as I explore new opportunities.”
Board Chair, Frank Matheson, expressed gratitude to the outgoing CEO. “Much has been accomplished at the airport over the past two years, including the establishment of US Preclearance, significant capital improvements, a very successful inaugural bond issue, and growth in the volume of passengers and cargo moving through Halifax.”
Mr Matheson said that an interim President & CEO will be appointed shortly and that a search for a new CEO will be undertaken this Autumn.
