Hainan and Beijing airports soar, Aeroports de Paris launches EUR134.7 million bond issue

Shares in Chinese airports, Hainan Meilan and Beijing Capital, soared 7.6% and 4.7%, respectively, as airports worldwide continued their strong New Year performance, despite ongoing security concerns.

French airport operator, Aeroports de Paris' shares (+0.2%) lost ground as it launched a EUR134.7 million fixed rate bond issue at a 2.5% discount.

Meanwhile, Italian airport operators, Aeroporti di Venezia and Aeroporto Toscano went against the trend, falling 1.4% and 1.3%, respectively, following reports Italian airports could lose up to EUR35 million in charges if Ryanair goes ahead with plans to suspend domestic services in the country.
