Fraport boosts foreign airport investment and development in 2007

2007 has been a very busy year for Fraport in terms of foreign investment. In Apr-07, it confirmed its long-held ambition to enter the Chinese aviation market by acquiring a 24.5% shareholding in Xi'an Airport for EUR50 million. Fraport CEO, Wilhelm Bender, then stated that the company was playing a pioneering role, as it had become the first foreign airport operator to invest in a Chinese airport not listed on the stock exchange.
