flybe shares down; Jazeera Airways 2010 increases market share

Shares in UK regional carrier Flybe finished the week 3.2% lower. flybe pilots, represented by BALPA, have rejected an offer from the regional LCC on pay and conditions. The pilots could vote for industrial action if talks, due to be held next week, do not provide a breakthrough. 81% of pilots voted to reject the offer.

Kuwait's Directorate for Civil Aviation (DGCA) reports Jazeera Airways handled 1.2 million passengers in 2010. The carrier outperformed Kuwaiti carriers to destinations in the Middle East. Jazeera Airways had a market share of 30% on the Kuwait-Beirut route, a 33% market share on the Kuwait-Amman route, a 48% market share on the Kuwait-Alexandria route and a 42% market share on the Kuwait-Damascus route.
