Eight easyJet A319/A320s financed by Crédit Agricole & KfW IPEX-Bank. AerCap slumps

easyJet has mandated Crédit Agricole CIB and KfW IPEX-Bank as joint underwriters and lead arrangers for a 10-year commercial debt financing of eight A319 and A320 to be delivered between Aug-2010 and May-2011.

The size of the commitment is approximately USD215 million and, according to the underwriters, represents one of the largest single airline commercial debt financings arranged in the aviation bank market in 2010. The facility agreement was signed on 30-Jul-2010.

In share trading news, AerCap slumped 4.9% yesterday, while FLY Leasing and Willis Lease fell 1.7% and 1.2%, respectively. Aircastle and BBA Aviation advanced 0.5% and 0.9%.
