Dusseldorf Airport expects to do better than the average of the German airports

Premium Analysis

Germany's Dusseldorf Airport, located in the country's central industrial region, reported traffic and financial data for the year ended 31-Dec-08. Because of its 'strategic positioning', the management considers itself to be "well prepared for forthcoming years" and expects a "positive" economic annual result for 2009. 2008 saw revenue from aero and non-aero sources rising, as did passenger numbers, by 1.8%, but net profit reduced by almost 5% compared with 2007 when there was a positive tax effect skewing the figure.
