Dubai Airports calls for Middle East airspace reforms

Dubai Airports CEO, Paul Griffiths, recently called for governments in the Middle East to "address the very real challenge of airspace capacity". Without liberalisation of airspace and the removal of limits imposed by political and military regulations, Mr Griffiths stated the region would be unable to meet its aviation and tourism growth targets. According to Mr Griffiths, the necessary ground infrastructure for the future development is already under way, but airspace reform is lagging.
