Daxing selected for Beijing’s second airport

Beijing Municipal Government has reportedly selected the Daxing district, in the city's south, as the site for Beijing's second airport. Capital Airports Holding Co (CAHC), the parent company of Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA), aims to commence construction by 2010, with operations to commence in 2015. (Daxing is shown towards the bottom of the map below and 'A' represents Beijing Capital International Airport).
