Shares in Comair South Africa traded 4.1% lower in Friday. British Airways announced last week that it will soon serve all major South African coastal routes and will launch service, through subsidiary Comair, between Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town from 27-Mar-2011, taking over from LCC subsidiary on the routes.

Comair stated it is "experiencing demand for premium travel options to coastal destinations, mostly from the increased number of business travellers on these routes”.
