China Airlines’ Nov-2010 sales strengthen; SIA to deply A380 on Singapore-LA sector

Analysis

China Airlines stated unconsolidated sales in Nov-2010 increased 6.83% to TWD11.2 billion (USD371 million). Shares in the carrier gained 0.6% yesterday.

Singapore Airlines stated it would deploy A380 equipment on the Singapore-Los Angeles route beginning next year. Shares in the carrier gained 0.3% yesterday.

Meanwhile, Qantas and Rolls Royce are expected to settle out of court regarding compensation for the Trent 900 problems on the carrier's A380 aircraft. Shares in Qantas declined 1.5% yesterday.

Elsewhere, China Eastern (-4.3%), China Southern (-3.6%), Air China (-3.3%) and Hainan Airlines (-3.3%) were all weaker yesterday. On the other end of the spectrum, shares in Asiana strengthened 4.2%.
