Bangkok Flight Services Selects ARINC's AviNet for New Thai Airport

BANKOK (ARINC) - Bangkok Flight Services, a joint venture of Worldwide Flight Services and Bangkok Airways, has selected ARINC's reliable AviNet® IP/MQ connectivity solution to exchange messages for cargo and ground handling services at the New Bangkok International Airport, or Suvarnabhumi Airport, which is scheduled to open in June 2006.

Bangkok Flight Services will provide extensive cargo handling and ground handling services for airlines operating at the new airport, making reliable network connections to all airlines crucial for successful day-to-day operations.

"In keeping with our dedication to provide the highest standards of service to our airline customers, we require a reliable connectivity infrastructure to allow our cargo community system to exchange messages with airlines," said Stewart Sinclair, Managing Director of Bangkok Flight Services. AviNet Private IP provides extranet, intranet, and Internet connectivity, allowing for maximum data sharing with minimal connection. The same network also provides transport of data, voice, and video, utilizing class-of-service offerings to ensure the reliable transfer of network traffic.

Bangkok Flight Services (BFS) is a joint venture of Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), the world's leading airport ground handler, and Bangkok Airways (PG), Asia's Boutique Airline and Thailand's second largest air carrier.
