Abertis dips despite revenue and EBITDA growth in 1Q2010: Airport Share Wrap
Shares in Spain's Abertis dipped 0.8% yesterday, on the release of the airport operator's financial report for the three months ended 31-Mar-2010. Group EBITDA rose 7.5% year-on-year to EUR538 million, while EBITDA in the airports sector was EUR12 million. Group revenue increase 8.3% year-on-year to EUR925 million, while airport revenue comprised 6.2% of total revenue at EUR58 million.
Operating and net profits were above 5% higher in 1Q2010, at EUR299 (+5.0%) and EUR119 million (+5.6%), respectively.
Abertis is present across 31 airports in nine countries. Key ownership and management concessions in Europe include London Luton, Belfast, Cardiff and Stockholm Stavsta airports.
European airports and suppliers mixed
Elsewhere in Europe yesterday, Vienna has the highest gain (+3.9%), Copenhagen advanced (+1.5%), Aeroporto di Venezia gained (+1.3%), while Ferrovial lost (-2.3%) and TAV Airports led the way down (-1.3%).
